Woodbine House
South Hams
Woodbine House works well for couples or small families wanting a base in Kingswear with views across the River Dart. The property has two bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed, one with two singles—a bathroom with bath and shower, and a kitchen equipped for self-catering with electric oven, hob and dishwasher. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.
The main living space is on the top floor, opening onto a full-width balcony that catches the afternoon and evening sun and looks out toward the river. Ground-floor access is via two shallow steps. A small front garden with seating overlooks the lane. Parking is in a public car park about 800 yards away, with additional on-road spaces nearby. The house sits on Wood Lane, a steep climb from the village centre, but in return you get quiet surroundings and sightlines across the water from most rooms.
Kingswear sits directly opposite Dartmouth, connected by regular foot and car ferries, so the naval town's galleries, shops and restaurants are easily reached. From here the South West Coastal Path heads toward Brixham, and boat trips run upriver. The Dartmouth Steam Railway departs from the nearby station. No smoking inside.
