South Kesteven's quieter landscapes sit around Baston and its surroundings, with Stamford's independent shops and restaurants within reach, and Rutland Water's recreational activities a short drive away. Home Farm Lodge occupies the end of a private drive, opening onto fields and water views. The single bedroom sleeps two in a king bed, with an ensuite shower room; the open-plan living space connects to a terrace where you can sit out and take in the setting. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher—and the essentials like heating, power, linen and towels are covered.

The grounds include a lake ten metres from the lodge itself, where fishing is available. There is parking for one car on site. The property sits at the end of a drive accessed by 14 steps; within the garden, a further 13 steps lead down to the sitting area. No smoking is permitted inside. Two miles south lies Baston with its basic shops and pubs; Stamford is eight miles away for a broader choice of eating and shopping. Burghley House, Barnsdale Gardens, Oakham and Uppingham are all within half an hour's drive, making this a practical base for exploring the wider area.
