Burghley House and its grounds are within easy reach on foot, and Stamford itself—a conservation area built from local limestone—has enough independent shops, cafés and restaurants to occupy several days without needing to leave town. The William Cecil pub sits nearby. For a longer drive, the Lincolnshire coast is accessible, as are the Rutland Water attractions.
Stamford Townhouse is a grade II listed building spread across four floors, sleeping up to seven guests in four bedrooms: a double on the first floor, a second floor with either twin or double beds (zip-and-link), a bunk room for children, and a single room in the lower ground floor with its own shower room. The family bathroom is on the first floor. Downstairs, an open-plan kitchen and dining room has an electric oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher; the living room sits on the same level for easy flow. A small patio at the rear has garden furniture. Essentials including bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are provided, and laundry facilities are available. Travel cot and highchair can be arranged on request. The property is non-smoking and one well-behaved pet is welcome. You'll find on-road parking outside.
