The Avon Water draws walkers and canoeists throughout the year, and Riverside Cottage sits on high ground with views across it. Larkhall itself lies 20 minutes south of Glasgow by car, with the M74 nearby for reaching Stirling, Edinburgh, Perth and Dundee. The mainline rail station offers direct services to Glasgow. The Applebank Inn is within reach for an evening out.

The cottage holds three bedrooms and two bathrooms across two floors. Downstairs, a king bed has its own ensuite; upstairs, another king and a twin share the main bathroom. The open-plan ground floor combines living, dining and kitchen space, with a smart TV for quieter evenings. The kitchen is equipped for real cooking—electric oven, gas hob, air fryer and all the basics. Outside, a private garden houses both a sauna for two and a hot tub for four. Parking for three cars is on site. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are included. The property is reached via a steep sloping path. One dog is welcome; the cottage is not available for hen or stag parties.

This works well for groups of friends or extended families wanting a break with some comfort built in. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available if needed.
