About Premier Inn Southampton North
Southampton's northern approach, close to the A27, is where Premier Inn Southampton North makes its home, giving easy access into the city centre as well as out towards the coastal attractions along the south coast. It's a practical choice for anyone passing through or based here for a few nights, with on-site parking available for a charge.
The hotel has 72 rooms across two floors, all with en-suite bathrooms, and there are accessible rooms with full air conditioning and spacious wet rooms for those who need them. Rooms come well-equipped and are kept clean, though some guests have found them to run uncomfortably warm, so it's worth bearing in mind in summer months. Staff are consistently described as friendly and accommodating, which goes some way to smoothing over any niggles.
Food is covered by an on-site restaurant and bar, with breakfast a particular highlight for many who stay. Beyond the hotel, the surrounding area offers golf, fishing, horse riding and entertainment nearby, plus a good spread of pubs and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out.
What guests say
Perfect location for my visit, but the hotel is a bit dated, especially the room, it needs a little touch up. The bathroom door had blown the veneer at the bottom, and there wasn't a power socket near the bed to charge the phone and not all the light switches worked. Breakfast was excellent in the Beefeater, but they couldn't serve lunch or evening meals. Car park was charged at £6 per day. I thought it should be free. A nice touch though, there were two cooling fans in the room which were needed as it was a very hot weekend, 32°. All in all, 3 star.

Stayed here on a Saturday night. The "family room" was very cramped for 4 people. No aircon. Fans provided to blow the hot air around. It was quiet. Ample parking but surprised to be required to pay for parking. Breakfast was good at the Beefeater although this element will be closing down soon.

Receptionist was lovely - so helpful, friendly and polite. The hotel is what lets this place down big style. It’s very tired, everything is fairly “worn” and if you plan to stay during summer - DO NOT DO IT. The place was like literally sleeping in a furnace.

Room warm and a little stale smelling. Attached beefeater closed before 10pm on a Saturday so couldn't get a drink or book breakfast for the following morning. Rather disappointing. Would not recommend.
