About Premier Inn Southport Central

Premier Inn Southport Central suits anyone after a straightforward, comfortable seaside stay rather than anything fussy - families on a coastal break, couples visiting the pier and Marine Lake, or golfers and anglers making use of the nearby courses and fishing spots. With 115 rooms across three floors, it's a good-sized base without feeling impersonal, and the free on-site parking is a real bonus in a town centre location.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks facilities, and family options for those travelling with children, plus accessible rooms where needed. Beds are a strong point, and breakfast draws praise for its range of choices, making it a solid start to a day exploring the front. Do note that some rooms can run warm, so it's worth bearing in mind in summer. A restaurant and bar on site cover evening meals and drinks without needing to head out, and staff are consistently described as helpful.

The location puts Marine Lake, the pier, and Lord Street within easy reach, alongside pubs, restaurants, and entertainment nearby, while golf, fishing, horse riding, and watersports are all on the doorstep for more active days out. A 24-hour reception and lift access round out the practical side of things.

Came to Southport on fri 12th and decided to go for dinner here. Well, we wish we hadn't. Most of the mixed starter was overcooked to the point of black, the ravioli instead of being soft was hard and crispy. The mains followed the same pattern. We won't have dinner here again. Now, this is the thing. We have always enjoyed the breakfast at all the Premier Inns we've visited so we came here for it... fantastic breakfast!!! It was lovely with good selections. I highly recommend going here for that. You'll love it. I noticed also how clean the serving area was kept by a young blonde haired foreign lady. She was amazing, she was everywhere doing everything and I mean everything. She impressed me so much I thought she was worth a mention. Premier should be extremely grateful for the work she does for them.

Excellent location with plenty of car parking. Newish building which obviously ment high levels of insulation and heat efficiency etc. This meant that during our stay and mid 20s temperatures the rooms were so warm really really hot which made sleeping very difficult. Fan was provided which helped but i’d chose a hotel with more access to opening windows or AC during hotter periods etc. Staff were fab and room were clean and can’t fault the location.

The staff at this hotel deserve better than they have got. The company appear to have spent money in extending the place, but have neglected the rooms already there. We had a hole in one wall, peeling ceiling and mold in the bathroom, a loose plug next to the bed (which meant charger did not work), no chain on the door, the door had to be nearly slammed shut as it was stiff, sound proofing from upstairs was non-existent. It's a great location, the rooms are cheap enough and the staff are lovely. But our room was in need of a serious upgrade

I had a lovely overnight stay on the 18th March. It was reasonably priced, clean and pleasant. Location was great for both the sea front and the town and parks. A short walk to the railway station can take you to Formby, Ainsdale, Liverpool or Chester for additional things to do. Janet on reception was very friendly, helpful and efficient- a credit to Premier Inn.
