What visitors say
Just returned from a wonderful couple of nights at Pigs in Blankets. My first time using my new tent box and camping in a good few years. Naomi was so welcoming when I turned up with no booking, she soon got me booked in. I went no electric and what a lovely spot I had. Good sunrise from my tent. The facilities were spotless. Great location for walking into Southwold. I feel like I’ve been spoilt for my first campsite and now going to expect this standard going forward. I will be back definitely and hopefully on a weekend when the grain bar is open.

Absolutely gorgeous area of England and was a pleasure to stay in such the wonderful site at Pigs in Blankets! We stayed in a glamping pod for two nights and had a very enjoyable time, plenty of bedding, kitchen equipment, and enough logs to feed the fireplace for a week! As we stayed in late March, the weather was quite windy and rainy, but the pod kept us very warm and sheltered and the wind was no bother, unlike if you were to stay in a tent (which you can also do on the site). If you were to pitch up, there is a vast amount of land as well as facilities to shower, eat and play table tennis. The site is beautiful and very well set up, would very happily stay again, whether its pitching up next time or staying in a pod again.

Wow. Just amazing. The staff there are so knowledgeable and friendly, I visited the petting farm and learnt so much about farming from them! The facilities really are top notch and extremely clean! 10 minute walk into Southwold itself which is just beautiful. Highly recommend this campsite!

Stayed here Thursday to Sunday last week and honestly? Pigs in Blankets delivers exactly what it promises: a great time with zero of the usual camping headaches. A huge shoutout first to Naomi (the manager) and Sam – these two were absolute stars. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they were always around for a chat or a hand, and you can really tell they take pride in how the place is run. Let’s talk highlights! The converted old grain store into a little pub is such a brilliant touch – serving local beers at totally reasonable prices, which is basically unheard of at most campsites 🍻. The table tennis table was an absolute hit too – kept both kids and grown-ups happily competing for hours. And can we give a special mention to the washrooms? So many places treat them as an afterthought, but these were spotless, warm and properly maintained – honestly the best campsite facilities I’ve come across in ages. Only “downside”? We had to leave. Already planning our return – and yes, I’m still bringing actual pigs in blankets next time as a thank you 😉 If you want somewhere friendly, well-kept and with way more character than your standard field, book it – you won’t regret it!
