About The Randolph

Set back from the coast in the village of Reydon, The Randolph is a VisitEngland 4-Star hotel built around a busy pub and restaurant rather than a quiet retreat, with a Sunday carvery, quiz nights and family activities running alongside its bedrooms. It bills itself as a base for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast, with Southwold itself a walk of around fifteen minutes.

Rooms are comfortable and straightforwardly furnished rather than boutique, and the hotel's bar and function space see regular use for local events as well as hotel guests, giving it a more sociable, community feel than some of Southwold's smaller, quieter guest houses.

Its position just outside the town centre makes parking considerably easier than in Southwold itself, an advantage in peak summer, while the short walk in keeps the beach, pier and shops within easy reach for anyone happy to leave the car at the hotel.

Lovely weekend stay at The Randolph, with friendly staff and great location. Only fault was the outside tables not cleared and cleaned regularly so ants all over the tables. We noticed our empty glasses still on the tables from the night before.

Our first visit here, and we had a really nice time and some wonderful refreshments, which included a gorgeous lunch, some lovely drinks - green tea, complimentary chilled, filtered water and a beautiful bottle of Malbec. A good offer on, and lots of choice. Reasonably priced. Easy and handy if coming by bus. Really comfortable surroundings and nice ambience. Divine.

Looks a lovely pub and beer garden, very helpful waitor couldn't do enough, barmaid wasnt as helpful! Food very very disappointing, we paid a lot for very basic pub grub, didn't complain as we had our mom with us and she hates to makes a fuss but during our stay here won't revisit for food :( Shame as local to where we are staying.

Our first visit and we will be back. 15 minute walk from Southwold Town. Large parking for plenty of guests. Comfortable double bed with ensuite and we had a balcony. The room was lovely and warm. Walk-in shower, sink and toilet. An option to leave a request for items for the room rather than cleaning the room as requested. Breakfast was delicious starters cereal, crossaiants or poridge, then full English. Teas and coffees as well as option of organge or apple juice. Staff very pleasent.
