Dangerous, Filthy and Likely Beyond Saving This soft play is honestly disgraceful. From the moment you walk in, it’s dark, cold and looks completely abandoned by any form of basic maintenance. There is mould on the ceiling and mould on the actual climbing equipment that children are supposed to play on. That alone should have this place shut down. The carpets and floors were soaking wet, and the roof is leaking in multiple places, including directly onto the play structures. My kids’ socks were soaked within minutes. Mats are split, rollers are broken, and everything feels dirty, unsafe and worn down to the core. The level of filth is unacceptable. If the public areas look this bad, I cannot imagine what the kitchen or behind-the-scenes areas must look like. The whole place feels unhygienic and unsafe for any child. The smell was revolting — a strong mix of mould, damp and feet. It hits you immediately and makes you want to gag. No child should be expected to breathe that in. We will never return. The mould and damp alone are a serious health risk, and I will not have my children breathing in mould spores. This isn’t just a minor issue; it’s a clear cause for concern. Because of what I witnessed, I will be sending a formal cause of concern to the local council, as the conditions feel genuinely unsafe. And honestly, I don’t think even if they tried, this place could be fixed. It would need serious money thrown at it — everything from professional deep cleaning, to all-new equipment, new flooring, and likely a new roof. I only saw one staff member working today, and the whole place felt horribly understaffed. In my opinion, it’s beyond saving in its current state. Right now, the place is delapidated, unhygienic and not safe for children. It needs a complete overhaul before being allowed to reopen. Avoid completely until major action is taken. Reply to you Reply 1. “You could have raised any concerns to any staff member.” This shifts responsibility onto me. Customers are not required to report hazards — the business is required to prevent them and maintain safe conditions. Plus, I saw only ONE staff member. 2. “We don’t own the building… we do what we can.” This may be true, but legally, If you can’t maintain safe conditions, you should not be operating the business. Ownership doesn’t change responsibility for health and safety compliance. 3. “The black on the roof keeps coming through… we painted it.” Painting over mould is not a fix. Mould through paint indicates severe moisture penetration, not old age. This statement confirms there’s an ongoing structural damp/mould problem you know about. 4. “There is no broken equipment or unsafe equipment.” This contradicts what I personally experienced: Split mats Damaged rollers Wet floors Water dripping onto play structures You outright deny the issues instead of addressing them — a red flag. 5. “The mats have just moved apart.” Not true I saw actual splits exposing padding. 6. “We check the play frames daily.” If that’s accurate, then the conditions I saw were approved by you, which actually makes it worse. If you check daily and still leave, mould leaks wet carpets damaged rollers split mats …it suggests poor standards, not poor luck. 7. “We take everything seriously… we try our best… it feels like a losing battle.” This is emotional deflection. Trying your best doesn’t negate the health risks present. 8. You never denied the smell or the wet floors You avoided those points entirely — likely because those are harder to dispute. And let's just get one thing correct you can see the photos I have put up with this review and I can't see how you can still deny it when you can see it. And hay that roller picture please have another look.... And I most definitely did talk to a member of staff about some issues when I was there but sure try to call me out for only saying stuff online, anyways how did the health inspection from cornwall council go.... I would get on those repairs they suggested 🙂

After reading on Google that this was the largest soft play in Cornwall, we were really disappointed in what we found and wish we had read other reviews before paying to go in. The place is an extremely run down warehouse, with barely any lights on when we arrived, especially near the entrance and the young staff member didn't really say two words to us as we paid. Walking in, the smell of mould and damp really hit the nose. The toilets were dark, dirty and full of spiders and mould, and really need a deep clean and revamp, in the male toilet the door is hanging off the hinges. The play equipment is dirty, broken and in need of serious repair, the netting is broken, foam pads are missing or chewed or ripped. The tables and chairs were clean, but that was about the only things cleaned in the place. The entire area had a smell that can only be described as a mix of damp, urine, and dirty bins. Above the seating area is a shelf space, where it looks like someone has dumped things intended for the skip. The roof itself looks like it would collapse, the windows are all rotting and broken. We left after less than twenty minutes. I do not understand how this place is allowing children in to use the space, it is dangerous.

Visited Roarsome Play on a Saturday and it was extremely busy, but you honestly wouldn’t have known with how amazing the service was. The staff were so friendly and worked so hard the whole time. Tables were cleared constantly, the ball pit was kept tidy with balls being picked up regularly, and everything felt clean and well looked after. The food still came out really quickly despite how packed it was, which really impressed me. Such a brilliant place – we’ll definitely keep coming back!”

Roarsome Play is honestly amazing! I had my daughter’s party here and she had the best time ever – she’s still talking about it. All the kids absolutely loved it and were entertained the whole time. The staff are so lovely, friendly and welcoming, and they really make you feel looked after. The food comes out quickly which is perfect when you’ve got lots of excited, hungry children waiting! It’s such great value for money and so worth it, especially for the price. If you’re thinking about booking a party or just a fun day out, I would 100% recommend – we’ll definitely be back!”
