About Boskerris Hotel
Boskerris Hotel sits above Carbis Bay, a short drive or branch-line stop from St Ives, with a terrace and garden positioned to take in views across St Ives Bay toward the town itself. The hotel has built a strong reputation on TripAdvisor for its bay-facing rooms and relaxed, boutique atmosphere.
Rooms are styled in a contemporary coastal manner, many with private balconies or direct sea views, and the hotel's terrace and outdoor pool make the most of Carbis Bay's sunnier, more sheltered position compared with the town centre. A short walk leads down to Carbis Bay's own sandy beach.
The Carbis Bay location suits guests who want sea views and a quieter base than central St Ives while keeping the town, its galleries and its harbour within easy reach by train, bus or the coast path.

What guests say
We enjoyed our stay at the Boskerris hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the dinner, though pricy, was excellent. There's a lovely garden and terrace where you can enjoy the sunset after a long day touring St Ives.

While some aspects of the hotel could use updating, our overall experience was good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant quality doesn’t quite live up to expectations but I could see others liking it more than we did. We found better value in St Ives. The views of the seaside are stunning. The WiFi barely works and mobile service in the area is not great - but that shouldn’t weigh heavily for anyone looking for the solitude and relaxation one can find here.

We recently stayed at this hotel with friends and were very optimistic based on the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, our experience fell short in several important ways. The bathroom was not clean — there was visible mold around the sink faucet, on the shower grout, and on the shower hose, and the shower stall itself was quite grotty. The heating in the room didn’t work, and although a substitute heater was provided, it emitted a strong burning-dust smell when turned on. I’m highly sensitive to dust and mold due to a lung condition, so this made the stay especially uncomfortable. In addition, the bathrobes provided were extremely small. My partner and I are not large, yet neither of us could close them. When we requested larger sizes, we were told that only the small size was available. After sharing photos with management, they denied that any active mold was present, stating instead that the bathroom was simply “tired” after a busy season. Despite these issues, the room was still charged at the full rate of £300 per night. Overall, we left feeling disappointed, and the experience did not reflect the standard we expected from this property.
