About Organic Panda

Pednolver Terrace sits above St Ives, close enough to the coastal path that sea views and garden outlooks are part of daily life at Organic Panda. This adults-only B&B makes the most of its position, with outdoor seating for taking in the surroundings and the town's mix of beaches, galleries and harbourside streets within easy reach.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks provided, and breakfast is included to set guests up for a day exploring. Reception operates around the clock, and free on-site parking is a practical bonus in a town where space can be tight. Feedback on the place has been mixed rather than uniformly glowing, so it suits guests after a straightforward, well-placed base rather than a polished luxury stay.

Beyond the doorstep there's plenty to fill the days: walking routes along the coast, watersports, fishing and golf all nearby, along with pubs, restaurants and entertainment for evenings. It's a fair option for those wanting St Ives on their doorstep without needing to be in the thick of the harbour crowds.

This is a brilliant place to stay in st Ives. The host is so friendly. We have stayed there twice now. Quiet. Amazing breakfast. No bad smells noted here. It’s a relaxed house filled with art. We would recommend and stay there again.

A nightmare disguised as an “organic” stay – absolutely to be avoided. We booked “Organic Panda” in Saint Ives through Booking, misled by carefully curated photos and a misleading description that suggested a cozy, private accommodation. The reality was shocking. Upon arrival, we discovered that it was not a private lodging at all, but rather a shared house in a dilapidated state, where the owner rents out three rooms to unsuspecting guests. No privacy, poorly maintained common areas, and a depressing hostel-like atmosphere. Nothing charming about it. The house was dirty, smelly, and neglected in every way. The bed sheets and towels were clearly used, smelled awful, and were completely unfit for any kind of hospitality. The air inside was unbearable – a mix of humidity, mold, and stale kitchen odors that clung to everything, including our clothes. The so-called “included breakfast” was surreal: served at a communal table with complete strangers, using questionable utensils and ingredients of shockingly low quality. The food was inedible, and the level of hygiene was nonexistent. The salt and sugar were so damp and clumped together they looked like concrete. The smell coming from the kitchen was nauseating and spread throughout the entire house, making the stay unbearable. As if all that wasn’t enough, we discovered a hidden room in the attic – yes, really – accessible through a trapdoor concealed behind a bookshelf. That room, too, was being rented out. It felt like something out of a horror movie. Complete madness. And the price? €180 per night for two people. A complete scam for what is essentially a filthy, uncomfortable, and poorly run shared house. We spent a nearly sleepless night due to the overall discomfort and literally left feeling sick to our stomachs. Terrible experience. Strongly advise against it. Booking should seriously reconsider the properties it allows on its platform – this one is a disgrace and a trap for travelers.

We have just returned from our trip to the organic Panda and we were very disappointed in the cleanliness and the upkeep of the house and gardens. The photographs on the website were obviously taken a very long time ago. Panoramic views which we could not see - either through the overgrown bushes out the front or filthy dirty windows which had not been cleaned for a very long time. The back garden was very overgrown and untidy, seat cushions were so dirty we couldn’t sit on them. On arrival opening the door we were greeted with a horrible foist / cooking / fish /dog / damp smell. We actually had to go straight out and buy air fresheners! The smell did not actually go away We tried opening window but very few actually opened! The cupboards weren’t clean and all the crockery smelt disgusting we had to wash everything we used and leave on worktop. Had to remove all throws in living room as they too stank of foist and were unclean. One iron was broken and other was like a travel iron, Toaster did not work properly, Tv remote in top bedroom did not work, White paintwork filthy, glass unit ,fridge door, kitchen floor, around bin ,toilet brushes disgusting, Damp walls in dinning room Beds old and creak Dangerous steps in back garden and needs a hand rail we all struggled with them. The oven didn’t work properly and the extractor fan was covered in grease. The house needs a really deep clean and redecorating. We were so disappointed after the nice photos and the cost of the house. The only good thing was the fresh clean bed linen. Unfortunately we would not be able to recommend the property in its current state as it has been neglected for a long time.
