Gem Cottage
Staffordshire Moorlands
Longnor is a traditional village in the Staffordshire Moorlands with a genuine local feel. Gem Cottage sits on its quiet streets, a stone cottage with period charm and a working woodburner. It's a one-bedroom, one-bathroom property sleeping two, with your own front garden and private parking. One dog can stay free.
Downstairs you get a living room with the log fire and a smart TV, plus a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge. Upstairs is the bedroom with a king bed and a bathroom with bath and shower. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included, as is the initial fuel for the fire. Note that the stone staircase is steep, which may not suit less mobile visitors. Smoking is not permitted inside.
The village pub, a short walk away, reopened recently. Buxton is nearby for restaurants, cafes and the Opera House; Leek offers high street shops in the other direction. Walks begin from your doorstep into the surrounding moorland, and there's plenty to explore within easy reach.
