Spring Cottage

The Staffordshire Moorlands around Leek draw visitors for their walking routes and proximity to the Peak District's historic market towns. Spring Cottage is a detached property on the edge of the area, sleeping four across two bedrooms and a bathroom, with parking on site and Wi-Fi throughout. No smoking is permitted.

Downstairs, a living room with Freeview TV, DVD player and a wood-burning stove opens onto the garden through patio doors. The kitchen/dining room is fitted with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. One bedroom contains two single beds (3ft) and a separate toilet; upstairs, the second bedroom has a double bed (4ft 6in) and an ensuite bathroom with shower over the bath. Night storage heating and underfloor heating in the bathroom keep things warm, and initial logs for the stove are included. Bed linen, towels and electricity are provided.

Outside, a walled garden with built-in barbecue and garden furniture overlooks the surrounding countryside. Buxton, Matlock and Bakewell are all within reasonable driving distance, each offering Victorian architecture, riverside walks, antique shops and local specialities. The cottage suits families and couples looking for a rural base with straightforward access to the wider region.
