Tawny Barn

Walking from the door onto the Manifold Valley trail is the real draw here. Longnor village sits just over a mile away with a shop and pub, while Buxton—home to the Pavilion Gardens and Opera House—is within reach for a day out. The High Peak Trail, Tissington Trail and Dovedale are among the walks in the area; this part of Staffordshire is genuinely good for exploring on foot or by bike.

Tawny Barn is a converted barn with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, sleeping eight. The ground floor has an open-plan living space where kitchen, dining and sitting areas flow together, plus one twin bedroom with ensuite. Upstairs are three more bedrooms—two doubles and another twin—each with its own shower room. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking; heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. There's a garden with seating, parking for four cars and a bike store. One well-behaved pet can stay free. The approach is via a rough track, and smoking is not permitted.
