Meadowside Cottage

The Staffordshire Moorlands edges the Peak District, putting you within reach of Dove Dale, the Manifold Valley and Alton Towers. Meadowside Cottage sits on 40 acres of farmland, a converted 18th-century stone barn with its own enclosed garden and patio, letting you step outside into countryside without losing privacy from the owner's house nearby. Shops are a mile and a half away; Ashbourne, with its restaurants and country inns, is five miles off.

Inside, the ground floor holds two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms—one with a king bed, one with two singles—plus a living room and a kitchen/dining space. The essentials are covered: heating, electricity from wind turbine generation, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. You'll find a dishwasher, washer-dryer and microwave in the kitchen, a 58-inch Smart TV in the living room, and garden furniture on the patio. There's parking on site and an electric vehicle charger. No smoking, but the cottage does have space for a cot and highchair if you're bringing younger children.
