Sun Valley – Serenity is a single-bedroom cottage on the ground floor, set on 12 acres of woodland in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Everything is on one level: an open-plan living and dining space with a woodburner, a kitchen with electric oven and hob, and a bedroom with a zip-and-link bed that can be configured as two singles. A shower room and enclosed front patio complete the layout. One car can park on site. Dogs stay free, and the garden is fenced.

The essentials are covered: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with initial fuel for the wood. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave and slow cooker. Summer guests can use the barbecue and garden furniture; winter stays centre on the stove. The property does not allow smoking.

A convenience store and food pubs lie less than a mile away. Leek market town is 15 minutes' drive, and the Caldon Canal—good for walks and waterside pubs—runs nearby. Rudyard Lake offers water activities against moorland scenery. Alton Towers theme park is 30 minutes away, and the Peak District National Park is a few miles to the southwest. The location works for exploring Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire.
