What visitors say
We had a very enjoyable afternoon visit to this family owned farm a few minutes by bus from our holiday hotel at Heathrow. We had a 12-year old hyper-active kid to entertain and it was too hot to take him into central London again. The young staff are friendly and welcoming and we were very glad that we’d arrived in time for the 3.30pm reptile and insect handling session which was amazing and for us the highlight of our visit. The kiddo loved all of it and particularly wanted to handle the snake again and ask questions. There was a bouncy elastic thingy that he loved as well. We all cooled down in “Carol’s Country Tea Room” and met Carol who is a beautiful soul from my neck of the woods in Essex. Hugs all round. There is so much heart here, they rescue animals and the young staff clearly love working in this family business. You definitely should go.

Great urban farm with a range of animals from chickens to ducks, geese, tortoises, owls, Llamas, Rheas (that look like ostrich), goats, sheep, donkeys, ponies, cows, pigs and more. Easy to navigate around the farm with indoor spaces for the gift shop, canteen, bouncy area and outdoor for some rides and assault course or playground. There’s free car parking in the farm and it’s opened till 30 minutes before closing time. There’s an exotic animal encounter that happens three times daily and we had the pleasure of draping a snake around our necks and petting some dragons too. Only rated 4* as there isn’t much for older children (the bouncy castle stated for ages 2-6), the gift shop wasn’t exactly stocked with souvenir from the farm but rather with any generic farm sticker, booklet, colouring book.

We had such a brilliant day at Hounslow Urban Farm with my two children. The highlight for us was definitely the bottle feeding experience — feeding baby calves and baby lambs, and even getting to hold a lamb. It really felt like a once in a lifetime experience. We also loved the animal encounter, where we got to hold different animals like a cockroach, stick insect, giant African snail and tortoise, and even have a snake around the neck for photos. We saw so many animals including goats, chinchillas, owls, chickens, pigs, a pony, alpaca, peacock, parrots and rabbits. The staff were super friendly and very informative, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for both children and adults, especially during half term. The bottle feeding experience needs to be pre-booked in advance and is only available for a limited time, so definitely worth booking early. We all really enjoyed it and would recommend it to everyone!

We had our daughter’s 3rd birthday party there and the staff were incredible. It was raining most of the day but it didn’t stop them entertaining the children the whole party time. They kept ache king in on us when it was free time but a 2 hour party they kept all the children entertained Highly recommend having a party there.
