What visitors say

The Limping Duck

All dismantled now, only the Tennis area is available. Been there for years now and always loved the place. Cannot wait to see it finished. Tennis side of the place is just amazing. Toby, the teacher and his assistant are amazing. Cannot describe the passion they put on their job. Always there cheerful and friendly. A pleasure be there. Gym now reduced at its minimum do the massive job they arr doing and no swimming pool ATM. But worth go there.

It's worth mentioning that Tides is currently not what you see in pictures. It's currently being refurbished, majorly, with the main building having recently been demolished to allow a new building to be erected. That aside, the rest of the facilities are still there and are great. The staff are always helpful and friendly, and there are a good range of classes. The opening times are shorter than some gyms I've been to, and longer than others. The current gym set-up is temporary, with it being in one of the tennis halls with temporary walls around it. It's perfectly effective and the selection of equipment is great. Similarly, classes are taking place in part of one of the badminton halls, so there aren't any mirrors to check your stance, and it can get a bit chilly at this time of year, but the classes are deservedly popular and the instructors are great. The changing room and showers are great. They're always clean, rarely busy, and the water is hot. Similarly, the toilets are always clean and are checked regularly. Overall, the current facilities are great, but it's not the same as what you see in the pictures. There's no pool for now, but otherwise it has everything a gym needs.

The waves are very disappointing if you could even call them a wave. But they put the volcano on, only because requested. Food isn't bad staff before opening eye very rude when apon asking to see the menu for later they said bluntly "can you not see we are closed" but later the staff were really lovely. Slide great as always. A few faults but still worth a visit
