Leeds Festival Camping at Bramham Park: Options and Nearby Campsites

Camping at Leeds Festival explained: weekend camping, campervan passes, getting to Bramham Park, and caravan parks and campsites nearby.

Leeds Festival is not in the city. It is held at Bramham Park, a country estate between Leeds and Wetherby, over the August bank holiday weekend, with the same line-up as Reading Festival on alternate days. Most people camp on site for the whole weekend. This guide explains how that works and lists the caravan parks and campsites nearby for those who want a quieter base or are coming for a single day. Our Leeds camping page has the full list for the area.

Camping at the festival

A weekend ticket includes camping. The campsites are named by colour, open ahead of the first full day of music, and vary from lively to relatively quiet, so it is worth reading the festival's own descriptions before choosing where to pitch. Nothing is reserved; the early arrivals get the flattest ground nearest the arena. Everything has to be carried from the car parks or the shuttle-bus drop-off, and the site is on rolling parkland, so pack accordingly. Day tickets do not include camping.

Campervans and pre-pitched tents

Campervans and caravans go in a dedicated field and need a separate pass on top of weekend tickets. Pre-pitched tents and glamping are sold as add-ons and are in their own areas with better facilities. Both sell out well before general tickets.

Getting there

Bramham Park is just off the A1(M), which makes it simple to reach by car and slow to leave on the Monday. Shuttle buses usually run from Leeds city centre for people arriving by train. There is no railway station nearby, and walking in along the surrounding roads is not practical.

Caravan parks and campsites near Bramham Park

The sites closest to the park are mostly small touring parks. Glenfield Caravan Park at Bardsey, about three miles away, takes tents, caravans and motorhomes, has electric hook-ups, welcomes dogs and is rated 4.8 from over 130 Google reviews. Moor Lodge Caravan Park, also at Bardsey, is rated 4.6, and Haighfield Caravan Park is a similar distance. Maustin Park near Netherby takes caravans and motorhomes with hook-ups and has glamping.

A little further out

Near Tadcaster, Wighill Park Glamping has pods and lodges and is rated 4.9. South of the park, Squires Caravan Park and Campsite sits beside a well-known bikers' cafe and takes tents and tourers. On the edge of Harrogate, Rudding Holiday Park is a large park with a pool that takes tents, caravans and motorhomes and has glamping.

What to check before booking

How you will get to the gates. None of these sites is within walking distance, and local taxis are scarce late at night in festival week. Bank holiday minimum stays. Usually two or three nights. Group policies. Quiet touring parks often do not take large or young groups. Barrier times. Ask what happens if you are back after the gate closes.

Beyond the festival

Wetherby and Tadcaster are the nearest towns, Leeds has the shopping and nightlife, and Harrogate and York are each about half an hour away.

We have similar guides to camping for Cheltenham, Castle Combe Circuit, the Great North Run and Silverstone.
