What visitors say
What a quirky, rural and tranquil stay. This was a treat for my horsey Mum’s 80th and despite the weather not being that kind, it didn’t detract from the uniqueness of this stay. The horse box is equipped with everything you might need and the wood burner stove was surprisingly effective & and easy to use (Mum was the driving force here!). But my favourite elements were all outside. As I woke in the morning & peeped out of the double windows, I saw a huge rabbit about a metre away, followed by baby rabbits playing, squirrels foraging and a coal tit swinging upside down from a tree. A surprisingly comfy hammock, Weber BBQ and decking with seating complimented the horse box. The compost toilet took some getting used to but followed the environmentally friendly theme and the shower is definitely an experience! A mix of back to nature versus luxury, with a chance to observe wildlife through the hatch feeling kind of liberating. Steyning is only a 10/15 minute walk with a range of unusual shops (ideal for gifts), can recommend Mamma Mia Italian (simple but welcoming surroundings with fabulous food) and Cobblestones Tea House for brunch (suggest you arrive feeling very hungry - the English breakfast is amazing). Overall, such a lovely, fun, different stay, away from the normalities of everyday life. Battery charging stuff.

We stayed for two nights in their Orchid yurt at Pepperscombe Farm and had such a relaxing stay. As soon as you arrive, you drive a couple of minutes up the farm track to the parking area, where there’s a large wheelbarrow waiting to help you transport your bags to the yurt. It’s only a short walk from there and adds to the feeling of escaping into nature. The yurt itself is incredibly spacious you could probably cartwheel inside it! It has a comfortable double bed, a dining table, fridge, kitchen sink, reliable Wi-Fi and a wood-burning stove that made the evenings feel really cosy and romantic. Outside, there’s plenty of space with beautiful views across the surrounding fields, plus a picnic table and fire pit, which made for the perfect evening toasting marshmallows and relaxing under the sky. One of the highlights was the wood-fired hot tub. It takes around 3-4 hours to heat, so you need to keep feeding the fire with logs, but we actually loved the process, it became part of the experience while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. There’s also an outdoor and indoor shower with hot water and a toilet, and a handy wood store nearby if you need more logs. Although it feels wonderfully secluded and peaceful, you’re only about a 5-minute drive from local shops if you need to pick anything up. We also appreciated being left to enjoy our stay in complete privacy, while knowing the owners were always available if we needed anything, they were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. If you’re looking for a peaceful countryside escape with everything you need for a relaxing glamping break, we’d highly recommend Pepperscombe Farm. We had an amazing two nights and would happily return!

we had a fantastic stay, the spot is so sweet and very well equipped. i think the pictures actually undersell the space, it is far bigger and secluded than we realised. we would definitely stay again!
