Wooded touring and holiday-home park near Doune, eight miles from Stirling

About Blair Drummond Holiday Park

Blair Drummond Holiday Park sits on a mature, well-kept site near Doune, eight miles west of Stirling and close to the safari park that shares its name. The grounds feel spacious and sheltered, with a mix of touring pitches, seasonal caravans and tent areas spread through established trees. Facilities are well maintained—modern shower blocks, electric hook-ups, launderette, on-site shop and a play area that families appreciate—though some visitors note the site can feel a little dated in places compared to newer parks.

Its quiet, slightly rural setting keeps road noise low at night, and there's good flexibility on pitch types thanks to the park's size. Doune Castle is a short drive, Stirling's Old Town around fifteen minutes by car, and the Trossachs and Loch Lomond both make easy day trips. Dogs are welcome, and the park runs a longer season than many smaller sites, opening early spring through late autumn.

An absolutely outstanding stay at Blair Drummond Campsite. Everything was immaculate from start to finish, with clearly high standards of maintenance across the entire site. It’s especially perfect for families with small children — safe, well organised, and thoughtfully laid out so you can actually relax while the kids enjoy themselves. The facilities were spotless and modern, and the atmosphere was calm but still friendly and welcoming. The pitches are spacious and well kept, and the surrounding area is beautiful, giving a real sense of space and nature without feeling remote or inconvenient. Overall, this is a top-tier campsite experience. Clean, well run, and genuinely ideal for families. Easily one of the best sites we’ve stayed at — highly recommended and we’ll definitely be returning.

Gorgeous site - immaculately kept. Showers and toilets spotless. Friendly and helpful staff. Park and ride few miles away is excellent for getting into Stirling and visiting the magnificent castle. It’s also very close to the Safari park (we didn’t have time to visit this time) - but great if you are planning a visit. We will be back.

Stayed there for one night in April of this year {2026} my first thoughts were it was very quiet and when I went to the onside shop it really had very little in it but on the plus side we discovered a takeaway in a nearby town did deliveries to the site and that definitely did not disappoint us the food was delicious. We also had the luxury of being parked right next to the shower block so that was brilliant for me because I have arthritis in my knees so less walking is a bonus. I would say this sight would be good for maybe a couple of nights but any longer I think would be boring especially for kids.

The Blair Drummond Caravan Park is situated in a beautiful rural setting south of Doune. It is fairly small and easy to find your way around. The welcome is friendly and informal. Staff are always happy to help if you have any questions. The caravan park is very well maintained and offers plenty of space around the vehicles. The sanitary facilities are well designed, well maintained and clean. Most of the site is surrounded by a brick wall, which gives a sense of privacy. All around the park are stands of ancient trees that are second to none. A paradise for tree enthusiasts. Here you’ll find gigantic oaks, beeches, yews, maples, chestnuts, sequoias and so on. They stand there as witnesses to a bygone era. Absolutely beautiful.
