What visitors say
We were thrilled to stay in one of the Shepherd huts Goose Hut 3. Although they appear compact from the outside, we were amazed with the thoughtful decor within and everything we could want on the inside. The shower room at one end was well equipped, with lovely soft towels. The bed at the other had co-ordinated bedding with the feature wallpapered wall and was very comfortable. There was plentiful heating, excellent cooking facilities, including a kettle and biscuits and two chairs with a table between to eat at. The whole experience was great. The grounds are spectacular, especially with the different weather conditions we had during our stay. Frost, snow, rain and a fine day. Walking along the edge of Loch Lomond was very peaceful and thought provoking. Simply an amazing place to stay and a great find. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We would happily go back again.

The best part of our trip to Loch Lomond it was finding this place! Visited Loch Lomond a few times, and I can honestly say this is the best place we've stayed. It's tucked away in a beautiful, peaceful setting and makes the perfect base for exploring everything the area has to offer!! From here, it's easy to hike nearby trails, spend time on the water with paddleboarding, kayaking, or other water sports, and even visit the charming village of Luss. After a day of exploring, coming back to the private beach, relaxing in the hot tub, and unwinding in the sauna made the whole experience even more special The cabin is self-catering and has absolutely everything you could need. It's been thoughtfully equipped, spotlessly clean, and feels like a real home away from home! If you're looking for somewhere to truly experience the best of Loch Lomond, I can't recommend this place enough 💙

We had a lovely, peaceful family weekend away across two lodges and absolutely loved our stay. Both lodges were comfortable, warm and really well equipped, with the two bedrooms and their own en‑suites in each set up exactly as we requested. The location is ideal — just a short walk to Balmaha, the village shop, the pub/restaurant, and even a private beach. The hot tub on the patio was a brilliant touch and was well used by both the adults and the children throughout the weekend. The staff struck the perfect balance: not intrusive, but available if needed, which we really appreciated. All the information provided before arrival was detailed, clear and helpful. Overall, a fantastic place for families looking for a quiet weekend away!

Had a 1 night stay here with my partner in the dipper shepherd hut as we climbed conic hill the next day, the sight is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, the shepherd huts have everything you need for a night's stay and was super comfortable. We read in emails that there was a private beach so we took a walk round, there wasn't anything there but it was very peaceful right by the lochs waterfront, would be nice if there was maybe some seating so you could sit for a bit. Overall, very nice stay, would definitely stay again and explore more if the surrounding area.
