About Milarrochy Bay Camping and Caravanning Club Site
Milarrochy Bay sits on the eastern shore of Loch Lomond a couple of miles north of Balmaha, where a quiet minor road runs out to Rowardennan and then stops. The gently sloping field pitches run down to a shingle beach – shallow enough for paddling and ideal for launching a kayak first thing in the morning. Pitches at the lower end look straight across the loch to the western hills, and the West Highland Way passes right along the shore.
As a Camping and Caravanning Club site it's run to a consistent standard: marked pitches for tents, tourers and motorhomes, hardstandings, electric hook-ups and well-kept facilities including showers, a small shop and laundry. Non-members are welcome, though they pay more. The location is the real draw for walkers – Conic Hill starts at Balmaha, the ferry to Inchcailloch runs from the same village, and Ben Lomond is about four miles north at Rowardennan. A pub, coffee shop and village store in Balmaha mean you're never far from a hot meal. Summer weekends need booking well ahead.

Great camping and nice staff! Got a great spot! Nothing wrong with this camping. Nice view over the water. But... take it easy with all the signs, they are everywhere. Bit overkill if you ask me, and this was only a small.part of the campsite lol

We had a one night stay. Last minute booking after cancelled ferry. Right on the banks of Loch Lomond. Beautiful setting. Good shower and toilet facilities. Mix of motorhomes and people hiking and proper camping. Quiet. Nice opportunities for getting out on the loch

Good site. Large sections flat and level. Many pitches but not all can see a bit of the loch and some a lot. Toilet and wash facilities etc clean and showers that although press button last more than 15 seconds. Road in ok with a big caravan and a deep breath on the tight uphill bend meant we got up it ok.

Fabulous campsite, very friendly and helpful team! Just sat on the West Highland way this really is an outdoorsy heaven for hiking, sup boarding, kayaking etc. Well marked trails in the area. My only advice is take it slow for the few miles before the club site, some of the potholes are deep! Bring plenty of food as no shops within walking distance. There's a lidl, coop and Aldi at Balloch and reasonably priced fuel. Approx 30mins drive.
