Higher Capstone Farm Cottages - Shutlingsloe sits at the end of a quiet lane on a working farm, positioned high on Cobden Edge. The cottage is yours alone, set among countryside that opens toward the Peak District, Manchester and the Cheshire Plains. Ground-floor layout means everything is on one level: an open-plan living space with a woodburner and smart TV, a kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, two bedrooms (one double, one with zip-and-link single beds), and a bathroom with bath and over-shower. Air source heat pump and underfloor heating come as standard, with initial fuel for the woodburner included.
Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered. A travel cot and highchair are available. Outside, you share use of a wood-fired hot tub that seats eight, and there's a patio with garden furniture, a barbecue and fire pit. You get private parking for four cars and a bike store. The setting suits walkers: trails fan out across fields, woods and moorland, and the Peak District National Park is within reach for day trips. Marple Bridge, Marple and New Mills are each about ten minutes' drive, with shops, restaurants and rail links to Manchester. No smoking throughout. The garden has three steps to navigate.

Booked via AIR BNB and wow! What a beauty. The views were incredible and the accommodation was perfect and clean. Greeted by host Micheal who showed as around. We stayed in the 1 bed and had the hot tub to ourselves. A lovely couples break, loved the indoor fire. Everything was perfect. Would love to come back

We stayed here for two nights and honestly we wish we had booked it for longer. The views here are absolutely stunning! The apartment is outstanding. Beautiful rooms, beautiful surroundings. Very peaceful and tranquil. The hosts were so nice, friendly and helpful. They provided us with a small bottle of milk. The place is situated at the top of a long single road up a hill. It's not really walkable to any shops. Everything you could need to cook is available in the kitchen. Towels and bedding provided. Including separate towels for the hot tub. It's a wood fired hot tub so it takes a while to heat up. A really lovely place, highly recommend.

Stunning location with breathtaking views. The cottages are clean and comfortable with all mod cons, and the owners are warm and friendly. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to others.

The most beautiful stay in the peaks. absolutely everything is thought of in these cottages, comfort, style and privacy. what a location! the view from the cottage is incredible. perfect location for lots of stunning walks and a great pub all on the doorstep. we will absolutely be returning for another few days of absolute bliss
