What visitors say

List Hill Victorian Town is a fantastic place for a family day out and somewhere we have visited several times over the years. Every visit has been a great experience, and there is always something interesting to see and learn. Stepping into the town feels like travelling back in time. The attention to detail is incredible, and it gives both adults and children a real sense of what life was like during Victorian times. Our kids absolutely loved exploring the old-fashioned shops, streets, and buildings, and seeing how people lived and worked in the past. It is a fun and interactive way to learn history, much more engaging than reading about it in a book. There are plenty of demonstrations, exhibits, and friendly staff who are happy to share their knowledge and answer questions. We always leave having learned something new. The whole site is well maintained, easy to walk around, and suitable for visitors of all ages. What we enjoy most is that it combines education with entertainment. The children have fun while learning, and adults can appreciate the fascinating historical details and nostalgic atmosphere. It is one of those attractions that you can return to multiple times and still enjoy just as much as your first visit. Highly recommended for families, history enthusiasts, and anyone looking for an enjoyable and memorable day out. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

This is fun late Victorian themed attraction. It's back in National Trust ownership which makes it very affordable again. It's currently going through some transitions but essentially it's a bunch of Victorian themed shops, craft centres and dwellings. Many are accessible and many have actors who can tell you about life c. 1900. There is a working traditional fish and fish shop and sweet shop together with the regular NT cafes. The main village is accessible and there is a walk and climb through a woodland area at the rear which is less accessible if you were using a accessibility scooter. There is lots for children inc a mock beach area, Victorian school experience, and, I believe, a woodland play area (but didn't go to that bit). I'd say you can spend a good half day there.

Ironbridge Gorge has recently been taken over by the national trust. We really enjoyed our visit which was very educational. The fish and chips cooked in lard were exceptional.
