About The Stag at Stow
Twenty-two rooms sit above a working bar and restaurant at The Stag at Stow, positioned directly on the square in Stow-on-the-Wold. It's a straightforward base for the Cotswolds, with free on-site parking a genuine convenience in a town centre that can otherwise be tight for cars.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and drinks available in-room, and family rooms are available for those travelling with children, who are also catered for with a kids' menu at meal times. The restaurant and bar serve as the heart of the place, with breakfast included and outdoor seating in the garden for warmer days. Free WiFi and 24-hour reception cover the practical side of things, and pets are welcome for those bringing a dog along.
The square location puts guests within easy reach of other pubs, bars and restaurants nearby, while the surrounding countryside is well suited to walking and cycling. It's a pub-hotel model rather than a country retreat, so those wanting quiet seclusion should look elsewhere, but for exploring Stow-on-the-Wold itself and the wider Cotswolds on foot, by bike or by car, it puts guests right where they need to be.
