What diners say
Been to the pub here a few times since moving to the area, but so far only on a Sunday because their roasts are just that good. Lamb shanks are usually in short supply but I've thankfully always managed to get one. Best to go early in the afternoon if that's what you fancy. Add to that some tasty cocktails with a 2 for £14 deal plus a selection of spirits including some rarely found elsewhere, what's not to like? Oh, and the staff are friendly and engaging, with Seb in particular being a great asset to the team!

I had reserved a table for the World Cup match and had called twice to ensure it was booked. Unfortunately on the day, I was told at the door that there was no reservation. The owner said if my name was so and so and I said no, and then proceeded to say that there was no booking. This was a huge inconvenience, he gave no apology and I missed a part of the game as I had to travel to get to this pub. How about don’t make false reservations, and start taking deposits for tables beforehand OR do £10 per ticket at the door only and make it a first time first serve procedure, instead of wasting peoples time. Do not go here if you are expecting common courtesy and do not bother to make a reservation either - they just lie and say one was not made. Ridiculously poor customer serve.

Lovely pub with lovely staff . Service with a smile and very accommodating. Food and drinks was good. Definitely be back soon x
