This six-acre grass meadow on a working farm near Sudbury offers the kind of quiet Suffolk countryside that walkers and dog owners dream about. Pitches spread across gently rolling pasture with views over the surrounding farmland, and there's a secure dog-walking field for an extra fee – though the footpaths radiating from the site are excellent for longer rambles. Facilities are straightforward: running water, toilets, showers and a small shop stocking camping essentials, plus fresh eggs from the farm's own chickens.

Long Melford, Clare and Castle Hedingham all lie within a 10- to 15-minute drive, each with good village pubs, while Sudbury offers theatre shows and boat trips along the Stour. It's a peaceful, low-key base that suits those happy to forego electric hook-ups in exchange for genuine remoteness and a strong sense of place.
