About Ling's Meadow
Ling's Meadow, just outside Hepworth, claimed the 2025 Overall Greener Site Award — and it's easy to see why. This small, sustainably minded site offers six grass meadow pitches plus a couple of bell tents and a StarDome, all set in peaceful Suffolk countryside where campfires crackle under open skies. Families love the relaxed, eco-conscious atmosphere, though note that pets aren't welcome here.
Showers, toilets and drinking water are on hand, but there's no WiFi — which feels entirely deliberate. It's the sort of place where you come to properly switch off, explore the surrounding lanes and villages, then return to toast marshmallows as dusk falls. A thoughtful, low-impact base for anyone serious about treading lightly.

A perfect camping experience. We came by public transport so travel pretty light, but really they have everything you need there to cook and be comfortable. The amenities are organised and spotless. Secluded fixed pitches with picnic tables were a lovely touch. The immediate surroundings are beautiful and there’s lots of wildlife to see from your tent. Early mornings were incredibly rewarded with owl fly-bys. We managed to do a few hikes from the farm in the surrounding countryside so a great place if you don’t have a car. The farm walk in the evening as the sun sets is a must. And the farm shop is great (although a little pricey) for lovely produce - about a 10 minute walk. But most important, Kath and Neel were beyond helpful and lovely to us. Never imposing, but always there if needed. They really set the tone of the whole place and we definitely will be back.

If I could give 6 stars i easily would have. The facilities are delightful. Every detail has been considered and all of our needs were met. It's a great location for exploring Sussex with a farm shop and cafe nearby. Our children were fascinated by the alpacas and sheep and loved exploring the fields and forests. The level of service went above and beyond. We had an issue with our bike and the proprietors were so incredibly helpful - there is no way we would have been able to manage the issue without them. We will definitely be back and will tell our friends to visit as well.

Beautiful campsite, extremely clean composting toilets (the best I've ever seen!), amazing kitchen with communal pizza over and the Stardome was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

An amazing experience from start to finish. We hired the whole site and absolutely loved it. Beautiful setting, well thought-out facilities, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy time together. Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back.
