Suffolk Yurt Holidays

We booked this last minute to enjoy getting outside during the heatwave and it was BRILLIANT. An idyllic setting where Paul and Jane have thought of everything you could possibly need and are so unbelievably welcoming, kind and friendly. The yurts were comfy- the main bed was great and the futons roomy and comfortable too (yes super hot in the day given it was 40 degrees) but lovely to sleep in as the temperature dropped in them quickly in the evening so absolutely fine by bedtime. The play area and the shade under the beautiful oak tree were excellent, the jungle shower was fun too. There is also a well stocked play barn with toys, football table and plenty of books if you forget to bring one. My kids loved the mud kitchen too and I loved that it was big enough for them- not just toddlers like to play with mud! The kitchen is well equipped and each yurt has its own bbq and covered seating area too which was brilliant, and we had our own hammock there too. The whole site was genuinely idyllic- peaceful, lovely views and plenty to keep kids entertained while we could sit and read. The highlight for the kids was of course the swimming pool. Beautifully built, lovely and clean, big enough to play in and wallow and lots of sun loungers too. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough- we all had the best time. We can’t wait to go back and perhaps explore the local area a bit, or even just walk to the community shop, as this time we didn’t manage to leave the site at all!

We had the best time on this holiday with our toddler. The set up for kids is perfect! We stayed in the cottage and it had everything you could ever need when self catering. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the outside area was stunning. They also provide amazing food options such as pizzas cooked by Paul and you order pastries for the mornings!

Absolutely 5 star. Oak Cottage is absolutely beautiful and had everything you could ever need and more. Our family had the best time and will definitely return and as recommend to all our friends and family. The pizzas were delicious, the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful and the hosts were fantastic. Thank you so much Paul and Jane for making our first holiday as a family so special. Absolutely loved our stay at Suffolk Yurt Holidays! We stayed for two nights, 2 adults, 3 children (6y, 4y & 9 months). Double bed, two pull out sofa beds (which sleep two people) and a travel cot, provided by the lovely hosts. The beds were super comfortable, fresh sheets, and cosy feel. The yurts have no electricity (take a torch) but the main kitchen area and the Pizza/bar area both have electric. The kitchen is filled with everything you need to cook and eat your meals. The toilets were spotless! Fantastic weekend, thank you!
