About The Bull Inn Woodbridge
The Bull is a Grade II-listed, timber-framed building dating to the sixteenth century, standing in a prominent position on Market Hill in the centre of Woodbridge. Once used as a wartime conscription centre and said to have hosted Winston Churchill, it has been carefully updated into a boutique hotel while keeping much of its original character, from exposed beams to an inglenook fireplace.
The fourteen guest rooms are split between ground floor rooms and larger master suites, each combining historic features with modern comforts. Downstairs, an award-winning restaurant serves seasonal dishes built largely on ingredients sourced within an hour of Woodbridge, and the bar pours a rotating selection of East Anglian cask ales alongside wines and cocktails.
Its Market Hill location puts guests within a few minutes' walk of the Tide Mill, the museum, the Thoroughfare's shops and the passenger ferry towards Sutton Hoo, making it one of the most central places to stay in town, as well as a popular spot with locals for Sunday quiz nights and a regular wine club.
