About Feather Down Farm Days (Hillside Farm)
Where the Gower Peninsula saves its best for last, this working farm stretches across 175 acres at the western tip, with Rhossili Bay's magnificent curve of white sand spread below. Three generations of Taylors have farmed here since 1840, and come spring you're likely to find orphaned lambs to bottle-feed among the sheep, oats and barley. The Feather Down canvas lodges occupy two fields near the farmhouse, including an old orchard, with views sweeping back across scattered hamlets and rocky outcrops.
Most accommodation in these parts comes in small cottages, so the six-person tents are a godsend for larger families wanting to explore this stunning coastline. Dogs are welcome during the quieter months (July to September) when sheep are pastured away from the main site. Whether you're after world-class surfing, clifftop rambles or simply soaking up some of Britain's most spectacular coastal scenery, you'd struggle to find a more beautifully positioned farm stay on the Gower.

Amazing stay, friendly hosts. The children enjoyed visiting the farm multiple times a day to check on the animals. Patience pays off as we were treated to witnessing 2x calf's being born. Tent was comfortable and once we got into the swing of things we loved cooking on the open fires. A good opportunity to switch off from life and go back to nature

Had the best time here for my hen party for 3 days. we had the party tent which was amazing, beds so comfy, we fed the lambs, watched calf being born, watched and milked cows and it was just so much fun!! Faye, Austin and there children are just so wonderful and ive never met such lovely, polite, helpful children which were always there if we needed them. The staff were also very friendly and helpful too. Highly recommended and well worth the money. can't wait to stay again soon!! Thank you to everyone x
