Family-run farm site on Gower with its own path down to Oxwich Bay
About Nicholaston Farm Camping and Caravan Park
Nicholaston Farm has been taking campers since the 1920s, making it one of the Gower's longest-standing sites. Still a working family farm, it occupies a slope above the eastern end of Oxwich Bay, with pitches looking out across the sweep of sand towards Oxwich Point. The real draw is the private path through woods and dunes to a quiet stretch of beach that day visitors rarely reach—the main Oxwich car park is a mile away at the far end. Three Cliffs Bay is walkable in the opposite direction along the coast path.
Facilities are better than the farm setting suggests: modern shower rooms, free WiFi throughout, customer fridges and freezers, twenty-four-hour charging lockers, and an on-site shop and takeaway café for breakfasts and evening food. Pitches suit tents, caravans and motorhomes, with electric hookups available on terraced and level ground. Dogs are welcome on parts of the site. The lane down from the A4118 is narrow but short, and the season runs early April to late October.

What visitors say
This was our first visit to Nicholston campsite and we loved it. The view from our motorhome was amazing, the staff were so friendly, the shop was well-stocked and very reasonably priced and the facilities were spotlessly clean. It's a very dog friendly site too. The walk back from the beach is pretty strenuous but definitely worth it. If you research tide times you can walk to Three Cliffs which is our favourite beach. Other highlights include delicious pizza from the Friday night van and scrummy ice creams and croissants from the shop. We will be back ❤️

This is an amazing campsite. The toilet block and washing facilities are perfect: clean, plentiful and very modern. All the field areas are spacious with flat areas for pitching. There are also plenty of picnic tables scattered around. The shop is well-stocked and boasts a pizza service, fresh produce and drinks. The hosts and staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely few days here enjoying the nearby beaches, our campfires and even shooting stars! We would highly recommend! Thank you for creating a little haven!

We had a fantastic two-night stay here as a family of five (including three children) and our dog. Our pitch had a beautiful sea view, and there were some stunning coastal walks right from the campsite. The shower facilities were excellent—clean, well-maintained, and a pleasure to use. When the evenings turned cooler and darker, the reliable WiFi was a big hit with the kids, who enjoyed settling down to watch films. The site itself was peaceful, with just the happy sounds of children playing games and football. One evening we ordered takeaway pizzas from the shop, which were absolutely delicious. The on-site shop was well stocked and offered amazing pastries and great coffee in the mornings. That said, the nearest larger shop is a short drive away, so it’s worth coming prepared—especially if your kids go through snacks as quickly as ours! We also made use of the community bus one day (it only runs Tuesday and Thursday), which was a really convenient and affordable way to get to the Mumbles. It can get quite busy during school holidays, so be prepared to stand at times as it is only a 16 seater, but it’s a great service overall. We walked along the beach to the Oxwich Bay Hotel for dinner. It’s a bit of a trek, but on a nice day, it’s a lovely experience. We’ll definitely be returning. The site was excellent, with friendly, helpful staff and great facilities—perfect for us as relatively new campers still finding our feet. Their Touchstay guide which we downloaded before check in was also really handy with all the information we needed such as dog friendly pubs, bus timetables, etc.

Probably the best camp site I have ever stayed at after nearly 30 years of camping around the UK tgis has to be the best. Tent with elec hook up, stunning views, facilities constantly being cleaned thoroughly, amazing showers (digital pus panel 🤩), not those old skool toilets where your sat near others, individual walled of toilets, washrooms with hot water, kitchen wash sinks (hot water) 2 large chest freezers free to use and a wall of massive fridges to store all fridge stuff all day long (free again), amazingly stocked on site shop for all your bbq needs, fresh croissants & pan au chocolate in the mornings, fresh tea & coffees 🥰 and Friday eve local pizza setup on site, Saturday had pull beef rolls, staff were always friendly and even free wifi which reached the top of our field. Can’t rave enough about this place am defo booking next year again. Lovely 10 minute walk to Tor Bay beach which was breathtaking, love love love this place 🌞
