The Gower Peninsula begins practically on your doorstep—Britain's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with miles of sandy beaches, dramatic coves and coastal walks. Swansea itself is four miles away, home to shops, restaurants, a marina and the Welsh National Waterfront Museum. Beyond that lies Cardiff, an hour's drive, if you want a day trip to Wales's capital.

Dan-y-Glo is a substantial five-bedroom house that accommodates ten. The main bedroom has an ensuite; two further doubles and two rooms with paired single beds make up the rest. There are two bathrooms across the property. Downstairs, a large living space with television, dining room opening to the garden, and a kitchen equipped for cooking proper meals sit alongside a games room—table tennis, table football and darts—where children and adults tend to disappear for hours. A utility room with washing machine helps when you're feeding and clothing a crowd.

The courtyard garden includes a patio, seating areas and a hot tub. Parking accommodates five cars. Bed linen, towels, wifi and heating are all provided. The property is for your exclusive use, and no smoking is permitted. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available if needed. Note that the house has steep spiral stairs.
