About ibis budget Swindon

A morning coffee and cooked breakfast set the tone at ibis budget Swindon, where the on-site restaurant and bar give guests an easy option for eating without leaving the building. There's also a snack bar for anyone wanting something lighter, and the food and service here are generally reckoned to be a strong point of a stay.

The hotel has 73 rooms across three floors, all en-suite, with family and accessible options available and air conditioning to keep things comfortable. A lift serves all floors, and practical extras include luggage storage and business services for those travelling for work. It should be said that some rooms show signs of wear, so this is a functional rather than a polished stay.

Outside, Henry Street puts guests within reach of nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment, though some visitors have found the immediate area a little uneasy after dark. On-site parking is available for a fee, and pets are welcome, making this a straightforward, affordably priced base in Swindon for a night or two.

Room was smaller than most and had no window, though it was well priced. The bed was very comfortable and the walls more soundproof than most hotels I've stayed in. The bathroom was modern and up to standard. I had no problem with the breakfast provided. The hotel has no on-site parking though there is a car park very close by.

On the edge of the high street, staff are fab, breakfast is a limited continental, no kettle, tea & coffee in the room nor iron, I was at the back of the hotel so had a view of the hotel next door, my work colleague had a view of the local pub, he told me he had about 100 kids playing football outside about 1am but it was just 1 night. I didn't get much sleep (stayed 3 nights) as I prefer a soft mattress and it was firm. Parking was also a 5 minute walk away but it was discounted.

The worst hotel ever, it s in a rough place, car park is very tight and stuff are absent from the desk, what a waste of money, time and energy. Room is so tiny and is full of dust and the showers don't drain so you wash in a puddle, it s a disgrace. My advice is avoid at all costs as it s not worth neither the money nor the time.

RUN! But if you want a room that gives you a cold, makes you itchy when using the blanket, or giving you a headache from a very strong smell, then go for it. I have to, for the first time of my life, finding another hotel even though I have paid the money for this one.
