What guests say
So positives first. What a beautiful setting to stay in, the walk around the grounds were stunning. All the staff I encountered were helpful and accommodating. The room is small but very clean and tidy. Close to work and plenty if parking which is free to guests. I wasn't hungry for a breakfast but the lady happily gave me a takeaway box to take some pastries and fruit. Negatives. There was no air-conditioning, omg last night in that room was the most uncomfortable stay I have had away for work. If I managed 3 hours of sleep I would be surprised. There was a fan going when I went in but all it was doing was moving very warm air around (I suggest they keep windows and curtains closed when really hot in the day) Restaurant. Well I had Slow Braised Chilli and Lime Beef Hangar Steak served with Rice noodles and came with vegetables. It was bland and dry. The sauce/jus/gravy was nice but nowhere near enough of it and the seasoning on the veg, which was probably the best part of the dish, was better suited to a roast dinner so didn't marry up very well. Would I come back, yes, but not when its hot, which is a shame as part of the appeal is the setting and grounds to explore.

Had a beautiful wedding here last year today! And wanted to return for breakfast and we was simply 'not allowed ' as we didn't stay in the hotel 🤔 yet seen dog walkers around my wedding pop in for breakfast, my husband explained why we was there and why we wanted breakfast and he just shrugged, the entire place was empty ..... Can see why, very disappointing

I stay here all the time when I work in Swindon. Room is good, but highly recommend beer+dinner at their beer garden. Everytime I have a burger here, I wonder why their chef isn't working his own grill at a popular food truck or hole in the wall burger joint - the guy is a genius, all Swindonians should be flocking here to eat his master pieces.

It’s always a pleasure to stay here. What the hotel lacks character it makes up for it in cleanliness. The evening menu is sufficient although fairly limited for vegetarian options: I managed to find veggie burger, salad, and vegetable pasta. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and I am always truly welcomed here. But the beauty of this place is that it is set in wonderful Parkland grounds, with two cafés nearby, walks, children’s play areas, and a museum. The location is excellent .
