About Village Hotel Swindon
Shaw Ridge Leisure Park puts Village Hotel Swindon within easy reach of cinema screens, bowling lanes and a run of restaurants and bars, while Swindon town centre is just a short drive further for anyone wanting to explore beyond the leisure park itself.
The hotel has 147 rooms, including family and accessible options, all with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free WiFi. Beds are comfortable and the rooms themselves are a good size, though some have been noted as looking a little tired in places, so it's worth setting expectations accordingly. There's a restaurant and bar on site, a snack bar, room service, and a Starbucks for guests who want their coffee sorted without leaving the building. Staff are consistently described as friendly and attentive, and the food gets good marks too.
Beyond the rooms, the hotel has an indoor swimming pool, a gym with a decent range of equipment and fitness classes, and a spa and sauna for winding down afterwards. There's also a garden with outdoor seating, meeting rooms and business facilities, and the hotel hosts weddings as well. Free on-site parking and an electric vehicle charge point round out the practical side of a stay here.

What guests say
Enjoyed the stop over stay very much. Late check in was super efficient, polite and professional. Great room sizes, nice swimming pool plus positive range of breakfast products. Like the blinds plus black out curtains in the rooms! Overall, great location and highly recommend.

So tired and unloved. Rooms and communal spaces are super tired. No AC in room. No AC in gym. Breakfast was bog standard. Eggs made from powder and coffee machine was horrible. Spacious and conducive for getting together. Ticks a box for some no doubt. In summary - pretty rubbish but staff were polite which was a plus.

It is not my habit to complain about a hotel accommodation. As a regular traveler, I am used to the ups and downs of any journey and I have never exposed negative experiences via social media. However, this time, I must report my feedback on Village Hotels as my direct email was left ananswered by the customer service. Having spent 5 days last week in their Swindon facility without air conditioning was a real nightmare for myself, my wife and my little ones (4 and 6 years old). The fault in the aircon system was due to planned refurbishment works. No information about that was shared when I made my reservation. I prepaid Village Hotels the full price with no discount or refund for this issue. All the rooms have been sold and families left burning in the middle of UK's hottest week. Village Hotels - "The hotel with Everything under one roof - apart from aircon!" You should be ashamed of the way you are treating your customers. Ps. My email is still pending... I guess you only have aircon problems but the IT works well right?

Wouldn’t stay here again, especially during summer. The hotel doesn’t have air conditioning and the rooms were unbearably hot, making it almost impossible to sleep. Although a fan is provided, it does very little, and the windows only open about an inch so there’s barely any fresh air coming in. Both the room and the hotel felt very dated and not particularly clean. Plug sockets were also extremely limited — there were no bedside plugs, one socket hidden behind the sofa that we had to move to access, another behind the TV, and only one by the door. There were also no plugs near the mirrors, which was very inconvenient. That being said, the beds were comfortable. However, overall the hotel is in serious need of renovation. Breakfast was okay but very basic.
