Lowtrow Cross Caravan and Camping Park

Fabulous Caravan and Camping site set in beautiful rural location Exmoor Somerset. The site offers a small number of Touring Caravan and Camper van pitches and some camping pitches also. The caravan and camper van pitches as all hard standing fully serviced Adults only pitches with excellent WiFi including in the price. Toilet and shower block is excellent and spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water for showers. Wardens Rob and Kaz are amazing, extremely helpful for any needs, questions or assistance in any way and they keep the site absolutely immaculate. One of the best camping sites we have stayed on for a long time. Lots to see in the surrounding area and a fabulous pub next door, what more could anyone want??? We had a really enjoyable stay and looking forward to visiting again.

A great campsite for adults only so nice and peaceful. The pub is by the entrance to the campsite, so first class. Just remember the pub doesn't open on a Monday. Great for walking and wild life watching. Buzzard and red kites flying over the site every day, walk over and hills red deer 🦌and Roe.

I was in 2 minds to write a review, as l don't want everyone to know about this little gem!!! As always Rob, Karen, Angela and Simon made us feel so welcome, and looked after us. Nothing was too much trouble. Grounds were as gorgeous as last year. Very peaceful site with so much to do in the surrounding areas. The pub (which doesn't have anything to do with Lowtrow) at the entrance to the site was fabulous. Mark the new owner was lovely and food was delicious 😋. Back to Lowtrow! The facilities albeit probably getting a little dated compared to other sites we stay at (this is no way a criticism at all) were impeccable. My only personal opinion with the showers, they are gorgeous and hot, but too hot for me, would love to be able to control the temperature. The small personal touches are fabulous lovely fresh flowers(fresias this time) were put in the ladies, and the wardens always around to say hi and to have a chat, and to advise us on our caravan (newbies!!) . Our second year here and whilst it's a small site, it's got everything you could wish for. Impeccably maintained grounds and toilets, wonderful location for access to Exmoor, Somerset and surrounding areas including Bath, Wells and the coast. A quite site with friendly staff who go over and above with a quality restaurant just a minutes walk from your pitch.
