About Corner House Hotel
A substantial building on Park Street, Corner House Hotel houses 45 rooms across a set-up geared for both easy stopovers and longer stays. The rooms are kept clean and well-appointed, with air conditioning and free WiFi throughout, and there's a lift for those who'd rather skip the stairs.
Food is a strength here, with a restaurant serving a notably good breakfast and a well-regarded Sunday roast. There's also a bar on site, though it's worth knowing this can be a quieter, less attended part of the hotel compared to the dining room. Beyond eating and sleeping, the hotel runs to an indoor swimming pool, a spa and sauna, a garden, meeting rooms and a wedding venue, plus porter, concierge, valet parking and laundry services. Pets are welcome, and childcare can be arranged.
Staff are consistently described as friendly and professional, and free on-site parking makes arriving straightforward. The hotel sits within reach of Taunton's own pubs, restaurants and entertainment, making it a practical base for exploring the town on foot.
What guests say
I found the staff very friendly. The room was lovely and clean. Fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch. The breakfast was great, lots of Choice and a full English delivered to your table. Location was perfect for where we were going. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We've stayed here a few times now and it's always nice to come back. The staff are unfailingly lovely. Breakfast is made to order anf delicious, and dinner is a real treat. The location is much quieter than the map might suggest, in terms of traffic noise and it's so convenient for the town centre. Definitely recommend.

A very last minute walk in booking after another hotel let me down. Corner House was a lovely find though. Friendly staff. Lovely room. Great breakfast. But the absolute icing on the cake was a small bottle of milk in the rooms fridge. No tiny UHT capsules. Genius idea 💡

Had a lovely return stay at the corner house. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We requested a quiet room and this was noticed and accomodated. Enjoyed the bar area and breakfast. Love having fresh milk in the room for a coffee. Rooms are very comfortable with good facilities. Bit tight getting around the bed but it is an old building so each room is slightly different in layout. Our favourite place to stay when in Taunton.
