About Taunton House Hotel
Taunton sits amid Somerset's countryside, with golf, cycling and walking routes close by and a choice of pubs, restaurants and other eateries within easy reach. Taunton House Hotel occupies a spot on Billetfield in the town, giving guests a straightforward base for exploring the local area without needing to drive far for their evening meal.
The hotel has 17 rooms, including family options, all with en-suite bathrooms. Rooms are generally spacious and well looked after, with reliable hot water pressure and bathrooms that guests find a strong point. Each room comes with drinks, and free WiFi is available throughout. A bar and snack bar are on site, along with breakfast service and 24 hour reception, and free on-site parking is provided for those arriving by car.
Service at the hotel can be inconsistent, and some visitors have found the atmosphere a little impersonal, so it suits guests after a comfortable, no-fuss room and a convenient Taunton base rather than a highly attentive stay. With entertainment and pubs nearby, it works well as a practical stopover for exploring the town and surrounding Somerset countryside.

What guests say
Yes, it is Self-Service. Yes, it there is no receptionist as such No, there is no bar. But, this hotel is great in my opinion. Rooms were very clean indeed. Great bathrooms with brilliant hot water pressure, which is rare in hotels these days. Clean linens, clean towels, no dust and a TV. The venue is about as central as you can get for Taunton, with the Motorway just minutes away, but all amenities just outside the door. Safe carpark with plenty of space for all. The 2 things that I would have changed/added, was a small desk and chair in the room would have been good and there was no plug in the bathroom sink, but honestly, that was it. I have already re-booked to stay again in a month for business. 100% recommend this venue.

Fantastic stay at Taunton house hotel. The location is perfect right in the town centre of Taunton. My superior room was large and spacious and very clean. It had a cosy and homely feel. Great to have free parking right in the town centre. Have already booked my next stay here.

I came away with my boyfriend to Great Yarmouth for couple of days at the beginning of April and stayed here while was down there. It was a lovely bed and breakfast, the room was lovely bed was comfy and clean and we had breakfast with our room which was delicious and had a range of breakfasts bars which were Italian, teas, coffee, cereal and fruit. The man who worked at the hotel was lovely and very helpful He even saved us a space outside the hotel for our visit as the road was very busy to find parking so this was very helpful

Great hotel right in the heart of the town centre of Taunton. There is a great large car park which was free so it was ideal for us. The rooms are very spacious and modern. It’s a great find a boutique hotel. Ideal location for all the shops and bars in Taunton.
