Fig Cottage

Fig Cottage is a converted barn on the edge of Dartmoor, part of a small cluster of three holiday properties set around a courtyard within 10 acres of grounds. The cottage itself is compact but complete: a ground-floor open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and seating areas, plus a first-floor bedroom with a double bed and ensuite shower. The building uses renewable energy from solar panels and an air source heat pump; wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all included in your stay.

You have sole use of the cottage and parking for one car on site. The kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals, with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and full-size fridge. There's a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room (charged separately), a small sitting-out area with garden furniture, and bike storage if you're planning to explore the surrounding landscape. One well-behaved pet stays free. The property doesn't permit smoking.

Dartmoor itself is on your doorstep—good for walking, spotting wild ponies and visiting the stone circles and tors. Within reasonable driving distance are Castle Drogo, Lydford Gorge, Buckfast Abbey and the coastal towns of Dartmouth and Kingswear. A pub and shop are about a mile away. The cottage suits couples wanting somewhere quiet and self-contained with straightforward access to both the moor and the wider Devon countryside.
