Cherrytree Cottage suits couples or small families after genuine countryside peace without sacrificing proximity to a city. The cottage is one of two converted stone barns on a working farm in the Teign Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, yet only five miles from Exeter. You have the whole place to yourself: two bedrooms (one double, one single suitable for a child), a shower room, and downstairs living space with a woodburner, plus a kitchen equipped for real cooking. Wi-Fi, heating, bed linen and towels are all included; logs for the fire are supplied too.

The immediate setting matters here. Your garden has a patio with furniture, accessed by three steps. Beyond that, the farm's 65 acres are shared with the owners and one other cottage—there's a fishing lake a hundred yards away, stocked and free to use, with sitting areas and ducks. A stream runs through the grounds twelve yards from the cottage. You can explore woodland walks from the property itself, or drive to Dartmoor National Park. Spring brings daffodils and bluebells through the trees. A pub and restaurant are two miles away; the beach is fifteen miles. The property is no-smoking. Parking for two cars is on site.

Great lodge and also a great cottage. Very quiet . Also was concerned about other reviews about pot holes but they have been done on the 2 miles to kingsford lodge . Excellent service from Debbie the owner. Couldnt fault it x

The setting of kingsford Farm Lodges is very nice, very peaceful, and the only noise comes from wildlife and cows adjoining the site. There are just 4 "proper" log cabins on the site and are in good size plots. If you are looking for a place to hide away, then this is the place. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, although a few areas disappointing, the sofa and chair was stain marked, baking trays past their best, toilet roll holder rusty, and the hot tub was good but didn't seem to fully function as water was cold coming from some jets, the tumble dryer didn't work and came up fault code E13. Main bedroom bedding had nasty smell and host did replace that did improve but not remove. The road to the property is 2 miles of single track with only a few passing places and the road has a lot of potholes. But, for the price we paid, we were happy with our stay at Kingsford Farm Lodges,.

Brilliant stay, super cozy lodge with great hot tub and views! We were in lodge number 3 and had some ducks and other wildlife around the lodge which was nice to see. Distance is around 15-20 mins from Exeter centre which is handy if you do want to pop out for the day! 100% recommend and will come back!
