Tucked just inside Dartmoor National Park's eastern edge, this adults-only Certificated Location occupies a peaceful corner of the Teign Valley with moorland, riverside and woodland walks radiating from the gate. The well-kept grass pitches suit self-contained tourers – there's a chemical disposal point and drinking water but no shower block – and the family running the site can arrange game fishing rights on the River Teign for keen anglers.

A 10-minute stroll leads to Christow's village pub, while nearby Dunsford and Bridford offer shops and more refreshment stops. Bovey Tracey and Moretonhampstead lie 20 minutes' drive away for market-town amenities, Exeter's less than half an hour for city culture, and the English Riviera's beaches are similarly close.
