Highweek is a hilltop village about a mile from Newton Abbot, within reach of both Dartmoor and the Devon coast. Ringslade Barn is a converted stable block on the grounds of a 16th-century house, separated from the main residence by a barn and set within 5 acres of landscaped grounds. The Grade II listed cottage sleeps 6 across three bedrooms: one with a king bed, two with pairs of singles. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower cubicle and one with a bath.
The open-plan ground floor has a living area with TV and wood-effect stove, a dining space and a kitchen equipped for full self-catering, with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine. The enclosed rear courtyard overlooks a meadow dotted with old apple trees and opens to a fire pit with log seating. Beyond lie the grounds proper: a games room with pool and table tennis tables, darts and table football, and a separate 12-seater cinema with Blu-ray and streaming. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; the property has private parking for three cars. An unfenced wildlife pond sits in the grounds, so families with young children should be aware. No smoking inside.
Newton Abbot has leisure facilities and a mainline railway. Shaldon and Teignmouth beaches are 7 miles away; Torquay and its boat trips further along the coast. Exeter cathedral is a 30-minute drive inland.
