Wisteria Cottage

Wisteria Cottage suits small families, couples, or friends looking for a rural base without the isolation. The single bedroom has a kingsize bed; two sofa beds in the open-plan ground floor living space provide the extra sleeping room. The first floor also holds a shower room. Downstairs, the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and the usual basics—and there's a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer (charged separately). One pet stays free of charge.

The cottage sits on ten acres of grounds shared with two other properties nearby, with your own parking for two cars and an electric charging point if needed. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The setting is genuinely rural, on the edge of Dartmoor, though a pub and shops are within a mile. Walking straight out onto the moor to spot wild ponies and explore the Tors is the main draw; Castle Drogo, Lydford Gorge and Buckfast Abbey are all within day-trip distance. Exeter lies a short drive north. The grounds also have a sitting area with garden furniture and a bike store if you want to tackle nearby forest trails. The property does not permit smoking indoors.
