Carn Springs

We have just left this beautiful site after the most relaxing 4 night break. I have seen the review left by R Queen (I think they may have been on the next pitch to us) and couldn't disagree more. The owner was absolutely lovely. She went round the site every night handing out marshmallows and having a quick chat. We thought it was a really nice personal touch as often we go on campsites and don't see the owner after check in. She certainly wasn't following us around, nor did we see her following anyone else, so this was an odd (and untrue) claim made by the other reviewer. Yes, the site does ask for no noise after 10pm but that's standard on most sites these days. It definitely does not mean 'lights out' unless you're incapable of enjoying your evening without being quiet and considerate of others. We were often awake till after midnight and managed not to disturb anyone. We booked a lakeside pitch which was absolutely gorgeous and so relaxing that we spent less time exploring the area than we usually would, opting to sit outside and make the most of the view and the weather instead. Toilets and showers were clean and lovely, (no smell at all despite the fact that it was almost 30°!) There was a basket of toiletries available for use if you had forgotten anything, together with a couple of hairdryers. The only thing we can think of that would make this site even more appealing to us, is to relocate it, together with the charming owner, nearer to us. Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

What a hidden gem! Would recommend to everyone! The first thing that stands out is the people—the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready with a helpful tip or a warm smile. The standout feature of the campsite is the beautiful lake in the middle with big pitches around. A quiet space to unwind and relax. Thank you

I have no words that could truly do this beautiful little nook justice! The location is stunning, the lake breathtaking, the host (Lyn) was utterly glorious! From welcoming Welsh cakes on arrival, marshmallows delivered to your pitch side in the evening, the quirky little shop and the ubber welcome wildlife....moorhens, ducks, bats to name but a few. Well all we can say is our 3rd year in a row at Carn Springs was the best yet & it just gets better every year. Linda 😘 simply the best (fantastic marsh mallows 🥰 wahey), Ewan top man 🤗, totally awesome & dedicated to his job (+ new wife & pooches) 😄. We cannot recommend this site enough if it's Peace, Quiet, Nature, Tranquility & amazing lake views you want. Everything is so immaculate, well kept everyday from the surroundings to the Unisex showers ☺️. The only problem you will ever have here is having to leave such a perfect, beautiful, natural setting with amazing owner & site manager. In nearly 20 years of touring with our Sunflower 🌻 caravan this is the only site we've gone back to for our main holiday & that says it all. 10\10 A+ 5*. Roll on next year for us at Carn Springs 🤗.
