About Imperial Hotel Tenby
The Imperial Hotel occupies one of the best positions in Tenby, set high on the Esplanade with uninterrupted views over North Beach and out towards Caldey Island. The building dates from the Victorian era, when Tenby first grew as a fashionable seaside resort, and the hotel has been welcoming guests in some form ever since.
Many of the bedrooms face the sea directly, and the hotel's public rooms make the most of the same views, with large windows looking out over the bay. An indoor swimming pool and leisure facilities are useful additions for a Pembrokeshire stay, where weather can turn quickly even in summer.
It is a short, level walk down into the Old Town and harbour from the hotel, making it a practical choice for anyone who wants sea views and easy access to Tenby's restaurants and shops without needing a car for day-to-day trips.

Lovely refurb on the imperial. Our room was a deluxe double and it was fab ! Really large comes with robes, safe , fridge with water & juices inside amongst other amenities. Very comfy bed. Bathroom was also very nice & room & bathroom were spotless. We got a great deal which included breakfast & £35pp off dinner on the 1st night. The food was delicious . I would have 100% given 5 stars except they need more staff ! Poor staff run ragged especially Curtis the waiter who must work longggg hours. In fact one afternoon we gave up waiting on someone taking our drink order after half an hour and again at breakfast took half an hour to take our hot food order only after i prompted. I do not blame the staff they were so busy they just need more. A suggestion is if someone approaches the bar to order drinks let them and take payment. I tried to do this but unfortunately was told table service only so we left. ...BUT we had an amazing stay in a beautiful hotel and would absolutely stay again just hoping they've sorted the staffing. Lastly as we opted for a " green stay" ie not having the room serviced daily we also got a drinks voucher. This is a great idea and more hotels should take note ! You need to try The Imperial you wont be disappointed.

Beautiful hotel, absolutely loved our 4 day stay last week and couldn't really ask for more. The staff were fantastic and very attentive, nothing too much trouble. The food was amazing too. We had a Sunday lunch which was delicious and breakfasts during the stay. The views in the restaurant were phenomenal. We stayed in the basic double which was perfectly adequate for our visit. We had a sea view (just about) and loved the luxuries such as the smeg kettle and Dyson hair dryer. My own criticism was the room clean, the hoover I think needs cleaning as I found long black hairs on the bathroom floor and clumps of long black hair in the carpet.. Not great when walking around barefoot.. I have long blonde hair. Other than that, highly recommend this hotel... We will definitely be back!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Imperial Hotel in Tenby and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, spotless, and maintained to an exceptionally high standard. Waking up to the stunning sea views each morning was a real highlight of our stay. The hotel’s location is fantastic, with breathtaking views looking straight out across the sea and easy access to everything Tenby has to offer. Not to mention the hotel is also dog friendly which was brilliant! What really made our stay special was the staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. They were incredibly helpful, kind, friendly, and always happy to assist with anything we needed and had little dog treats in the restaurant. The food was simply unbelievable. We enjoyed the Sunday roast, which was one of the best we’ve had, and the breakfast each morning was equally impressive with plenty of choice and excellent quality. A beautiful hotel, amazing food, outstanding staff, and unbeatable views. We will definitely be returning!

Excellent location right on the beachfront (Castle Beach). The nearest car park is a couple minutes walk away, as is the town centre. Reception/restaurant/bar staff were very friendly and professional. Whilst the room itself is very well put together from a decor standpoint, is a good size, mattress and pillow are comfortable and the sea view was amazing, the cleanliness of the room and the room cleaning service were very poor. On arrival we had hairs across the bathroom floor, particularly around the edges of the bathroom. The extractor fan was clogged with dust as if it had never been cleaned, and there was a layer of dust built up on the skirting across the entire room itself. We mentioned this to one of the reception staff who asked us to leave the cleaning request sign outside the door which we did and went about our day. In total we were there for 3 nights and the standard of cleaning daily was really bad. In simple terms, there was no cleaning. Other than bins being emptied, towels being replenished and coffee mugs being replaced, nothing else was done at all. Naturally being beachside, residual sand is likely to reach the rooms from shoes/feet/clothes, m no matter how hard guests try to avoid/minimise it. We watched this build up over our stay, at no point was the room dusted or vacuumed, nor any other form of surface cleaning done. Eg. Table tops, shower screen, mirror etc, all untouched by cleaning staff. It’s a shame because other than that we would love to come back because the location and everything else about it is perfect.
