Linley Farm Cottages - Apple Tree Cottage

Farmland near Clacton-on-Sea shelters a cluster of converted agricultural buildings arranged around a courtyard, each with its own entrance and grounds to explore. Apple Tree Cottage occupies the ground floor throughout, opening onto patio space and the two-acre property beyond—good territory for walkers, with lakes and creeks nearby, and birds to watch if you know where to look.

Two bedrooms sleep six: one has a double bed with an ensuite bathroom, the other has bunk beds. The second bathroom serves the rest of the cottage. The kitchen is equipped for everyday cooking. A sitting room with a sofa bed, television and DVDs provides an evening retreat. Laundry facilities (washing machine and tumble dryer) are shared with other cottages. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. Parking for two or three cars is on site. No smoking throughout.

This corner of Essex puts you within reasonable reach of Colchester, its castle and cobbled streets, as well as smaller towns like Brightlingsea, Wivenhoe and Walton-on-the-Naze. Constable country lies nearby. A shop is 500 yards away; the nearest pub about two miles.
