Linley Farm Cottages - Pear Tree Cottage

Pear Tree Cottage is one of several converted farm buildings at Linley Farm, grouped around a courtyard in countryside between Clacton-on-Sea and the Essex coast. The location puts you within reach of a network of local walking paths and the creek, plus small coastal towns—Brightlingsea, Wivenhoe and Mersea are all under 30 minutes' drive. Colchester's castle, shops and restaurants lie nearby, and Constable country villages such as Dedham and Lavenham are within easy reach.

The whole cottage is yours alone. Everything is on the ground floor: a sitting room with TV and DVD player, a kitchen equipped for cooking from scratch, a bedroom with a double bed and ensuite, a second bedroom with bunks, and a second bathroom. Bed linen, towels, WiFi and heating are included. There's a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer (shared with other cottages), a patio with garden furniture, and parking for two or three cars on site. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The property does not permit smoking.

The farm sits within two acres of grounds with paths worth exploring. A shop lies 500 yards away and a pub two miles off. This works well for families, and for anyone wanting quiet countryside combined with genuine access to walks and the estuary landscape.
