Poppy Lodge is a detached timber cabin built for couples wanting space to themselves. Everything unfolds on one level: a combined living and dining area with a 50-inch smart TV and DVD player opens onto the garden through patio doors, a kitchen with electric hob and combination microwave-oven, a double bedroom, and a shower room with heated towel rail. Bed linen, towels, heating, electricity and wi-fi are all included.
The real draw is outdoors. A large enclosed garden has a patio, furniture for dining, and a private hot tub. You can bring one pet. Parking for two cars sits on the drive. Minster village, a mile away, has pubs, restaurants, shops and a pharmacy within reach on foot. The Kent coast—Ramsgate, Sandwich and Broadstairs beaches—lies a short drive off. Ramsgate itself holds the Royal Harbour, wartime tunnels and a marine museum worth exploring. The property does not permit smoking.

I can't recommend this lodge enough, it was so great to get away and have some peace and quiet, even Chewie loved it also. Would definitely look at coming back as it was so easy to get to other places like Dover, Margate, and a few others. Loved it.

Was a lovely little secluded cabin, just far enough away from everything to be peaceful but close enough that you are not miles from anywhere. The garden was a nice size and secluded on sides. The hot tub was clean, hot and perfect to sit and watch the sunset with a drink. The rooms in the cabin were all of a nice size (kitchen part could've been slightly bigger, but that's more personal preference). The bed was soft and really comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and the shower was great. Definitely had a great few days away and would book again!

1855 is a great place to have a meal with friends. Their breakfasts are top class and the atmosphere is really good. Can't fault it. Will definitely go there again.

We are staying for the second time. We find it very relaxing and quiet we can also bring our dog. A great place clean and tidy with a secure garden
